Kathy Robertson

I was born in Kenya in 1965 and held dual citizenship for 18 years. Having left Kenya as a three-year-old, I felt regretful for much of my teenage life, that I had no memories of that time. This inspired me to travel and form new memories of far away and exotic places, which I endeavored to capture with photography. My love for travel and for experiencing other cultures, inspired me to leave the UK and to work first in America, then China. I have travelled extensively in America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Culture shock and culture love both have changed who I am. My photographs represent not only the cultures I experienced, but the evolution of myself.
